Course overview:

CNS 2’s IELTS programs prepare candidates for immigration, employment and tertiary studies in English speaking countries such as the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and others.

Course description: 

PRE-IELTS course: 
This course is an IELTS program for candidates who have no IELTS background and those who have not met the requirements to enroll under the IELTS program. It is a basic course of IELTS.

IELTScourse:
This course is an IELTS program for candidates who have IELTS background, have taken the actual IELTS exams and have met the requirements to enroll under the IELTS program. (around IELTS 4.5 and above)

Level test score of 4 and below or no English study background

For IELTS Band 6.5 and above (Level Test/Final Weekly Test)

 

-Students are required to take a level test before qualifying in any of the programs. Failing this will require them to take the most suitable course according to level test scores.
-Students need to have perfect attendance in all the classes, including the weekly tests.
-Students will be grouped according to level on the succeeding terms depending on the last weekly test of the term results and upon recommendation of assigned teachers.
-Students must complete any given homework as this is an assessment of their performance and progress in the course.

Course objectives:

PRE-IELTS PROGRAM: Students in this course are expected to relate English skills learned for application. Fundamental IELTS strategies will be introduced. Towards the end of the term, they will be equipped to prepare for the IELTS Program according to their academic progress.

IELTS PROGRAM C: After the introduction of the PRE-IELTS Program, students are now ready to go to the next level in terms of basic IELTS strategies in the four subtests. Weekly tests are conducted to gauge their progress. Towards the end of the month, an assessment is made if students can enter IELTS Program once they meet the requirements.

IELTS PROGRAM B: Students enrolled under this program study about additional problem solving techniques according to the different kinds of questions in the subtests. Weekly tests are still conducted. Mock tests may be conducted in the classes to address specific problem areas on a need basis such as time management.

IELTS PROGRAM A: Students study about more effective strategies including more intensive training. Lessons are in detail and more methodical. Weekly tests are still conducted and more frequent simulations as well.

Recommended study duration:
8~16 weeks depending on initial level of student
